Pair of Japonisme plates Haviland Limoges L'Escalier de Cristal

Sublime pair of flat plates made of fine Limoges porcelain by the Haviland & Co factory, produced for the prestigious Parisian luxury house L'Escalier de Cristal (late 19th century, around 1880). This model is distinguished by a delicate asymmetrical Japonist decoration featuring painted pansy flowers, enhanced with fine golden details. The white paste showcases a magnificent textured relief work (basketweave patterns in the centre of the plate and geometric friezes on the rim). The edge is highlighted with a shiny golden line. Dimensions: diameter of 24 cm, height of 3 cm. Condition: excellent vintage condition, no chips or cracks, the gilding and colours are very well preserved.
