Scandinavian teak chest of drawers, 1960s

Teak structure with six drawers, two smaller ones in the upper section and four wider drawers with oval wooden handles. Tapered legs and shaped base. Scandinavian production, 1960s. The slender proportions and carefully articulated front give this chest of drawers a particularly harmonious presence. Its six drawers are arranged on two levels: the two smaller upper drawers sit side by side, breaking the continuity of the four wider drawers below, which are distinguished by characteristic oval wooden handles. Four tapered legs raise the cabinet above a shaped base that softly follows its profile. The combination of clean geometry, rounded details and the natural grain of teak is representative of Scandinavian Mid-Century design of the 1960s. Good condition. It may show signs of age.
