Genuine Roman amphora from marine excavation with its forged iron base.

Exceptional and authentic marine excavation amphora from the Roman period (Dressel / Pascual type), preserved indoors within a private collection for several decades. A major archaeological and curiosity piece for high-end interior decoration. This terracotta piece is entirely covered with a thick layer of original marine concretions (calcareous sediments and residues of fossilised marine organisms). Its raw patina, which ranges between grey-white and rust-brown, bears witness to its centuries spent underwater. Its state of preservation is exceptional: the neck and its two characteristic handles are completely intact.
