Betschdorf stoneware pot or cache-pot, signed. Betschdorf stoneware pottery is always gray in color with cobalt blue decorations and salt glazed. This ancient technique of high-temperature vitrification (1,300 °C) dates back to the 16th century and was passed down by a German potter from the Westerwald who is said to have settled in the village at that time.
