MAISON JANSEN (attr) 'Ammonite' lamp 102cm, gilded brass and black lacquered wood

Rare and imposing hollywood regency style lamp, attributed to maison jansen, dating from the 1970s. This light fixture features an ammonoidea - cleoniceras ammonite fossil (albian cretaceous), likely from madagascar. The structure is made of black lacquered wood, with rectangular gilt brass uprights, supporting an adjustable shade made of original velvet paper, with a gilt interior. The whole is in good general condition, although some signs of wear are visible on the edges of the shade in the usual contact points (see photo). Standard screw bulb (e27), compatible with e27 led bulbs, and has a switch integrated into the cable. The floor lamp is fully functional and ready to use.
