Pichet J. Massier Vallauris, cracked white enamel and green incised decoration, year

Pitcher with handle from the J. Massier factory in Vallauris, stamped "J. MASSIER VALLAURIS" under the base (used between 1930 and 1953, under the direction of Jean Clergue). Thick white glaze with a crackled and retracted effect, very textured to the touch, featuring an incised decoration of flowers and stylized plant motifs in geometric reserves, in olive green and turquoise glazes. Handle glazed in brown speckled with green. A piece with a very graphic appearance, stunning alone or filled with flowers. Very good condition, no chips or cracks. The dark spots visible on the neck and rim are original glaze withdrawals, characteristic of this crackled glaze. Dimensions: height 17 cm, width 15 cm, opening diameter 7.5 cm.
