Description
Rare series of 10 flat plates in faience of sarreguemines stamped u-c - around 1900. The white paste, thin, dense and silky is shiny without traces of use. The nobilis décor, with its light frieze of laurel wreaths interspersed with greek revival neo empire of a gray green, is both decided and quiet. Plates rather wide: 25cm in diameter. Charming inaccuracies of décor. Very good condition - these plates are over 100 years old.
