Rosewood cabinet by Niels J. Thorsø for Thorsø Møbelfabrik, Denmark, 1960s

A cabinet designed by Niels J. Thorsø, manufactured by Thorsø Møbelfabrik in the 1960s. This Danish piece combines a compact form with striking rosewood veneer, whose bold grain pattern gives the furniture its distinctive character. It is ideal for collectors of Scandinavian design who appreciate both the aesthetics of the era and practical construction solutions. The structure features a clean silhouette on four slender, tapered solid wood legs. The upper section has a drawer with two recessed pulls, and below is a storage compartment with sliding doors. The sliding mechanism allows the cabinet to be placed in narrow spaces. Inside, adjustable shelves allow for custom arrangement. The door handles are flush with the fronts, emphasizing the minimalist design. The cabinet is in good condition, with minor scratches and small scuffs consistent with use. Small losses have been filled during restoration. More noticeable traces of use are shown in the photographs.
