Antique oil painting on canvas, classic landscape from the early 20th century, dated 1904. Landscape by a wooded pond with a small figure on the left bank, a boat on the water in the foreground with a second figure. A few houses in the background. A dead tree on the right side. Beautiful execution of brushstrokes by the painter. Soft tones, beautiful light. Dominance of green and blue. Dimensions: 56.5 X 45 cm. This antique painting is in good condition, with some losses and old tears repaired. Canvas reinforced during restoration. It was restored in 1955, as evidenced by the text left by the restorer on the back of the work: "this painting was repaired by R. Dardolet in March 1955. It bore the following inscription on the reverse: given to Lucie on 8 May 1904. V. Darautière (?) [painter's name uncertain]. Careful and well-protected shipping.
