Antique coffee table of japanese origin 14th century. Date of the end of the 19th century. Very nice ankle detail at board top and attached base stuck. Finished burnt wood, technique called shou-sugi-ban of japanese origin. With a surface treatment to stabilize the carbonization, no black marks to the touch.
