Quercy Jug for Walnut Oil - 18th Century

Old quercy jug formerly used to store walnut oil, a precious liquid at the time to fuel oil lamps and therefore to light. Very pretty narrow pouring spout, typical of this use to delicately pour the oil. Ornate vertical edging providing solidity and refinement. 3 handles, one of which is broken, completely broken bottom, hence the modest price dimensions: diameter = 31cm; height = 29 cm €120 incl.
