Set of 2 large cups and 2 sub-cups. In perfect condition neither cracked nor chipped, brilliant and bright colors. Cups diam 11cm without handle and high 8cm. Diam saucers 18, 5cm X high 2cm. Stamped "villeroy & boch septfontaines - former imperial and royal factory founded in 1767 - made in luxembourg -1973 -izmir" Christine reuter joined villeroy & boch in 1967 as chief designer (late 60s). It is illustrated by emblematic models that will mark the seventies: acapulco (mexico), izmir (turkey) and cadiz (spain)... The izmir model is of turkish inspiration and takes up the motifs of iznik ceramics. Colorful patterns with stunning shades of blue. The name of this collection refers to the city of izmir and its historical heritage in the fields of ceramics and earthenware. This model was introduced in 1973.
