Large Model 5195 Brutalist Wall Light By Svend Aage Holm-Sørensen For Holm-Sørensen & Co, Denmark 1960S

Large model 5195 brutalist wall light by svend aage holm-sørensen for holm-sørensen & co., denmark, 1960s this stunning model 5195 wall light was designed by svend aage holm-sørensen and produced by holm-sørensen & co. In denmark during the 1960s. The design is a powerful example of holm-sørensen’s distinctive brutalist style, combining an expressive sculptural form with the rich, warm appearance of brass. The lamp is composed of multiple tall brass elements arranged at different heights, each featuring a central fold and characteristic rough, torch-cut edges. Together, these elements create a dramatic organic composition reminiscent of flames or pointed leaves. When illuminated, the concealed light source casts a warm golden glow through the openings and onto the surrounding wall, beautifully emphasising the depth and texture of the design. This particular lamp is the rare large version of model 5195 and remains in very good vintage condition. Studio haag also offers the smaller version of this design, allowing the two sizes to be displayed individually or as a striking combination. An impressive and highly decorative piece that functions equally well as a light source and as an illuminated sculpture.
