Iconic early edition Harp (Harpesolen) chair designed by Jorgen Hovelskov in 1963 for Christensen & Larsen Denmark. The chair is inspired by the bow of a Viking ship and the strings of a harp. It has a distinctive triangular structure in solid black stained ash wood with flag halyard strung through it, creating a floating and sculptural effect. The chair that received immediately critical acclaim when it was presented, is definitely one of the most sculptural and remarkable seating designs to emerge from Mid-Century Modern Scandinavian design. A true classic. The chair is in amazing condition. Fully original with the perfect patina.
