This piece of furniture is the result of Parisian work and more particularly of the Faubourg-Saint-Antoine, a site renowned for its cabinetmakers' workshops and its training centers such as the Boulle school. This chest of drawers is equipped with two drawers mounted in a dovetail, thus ensuring perfect solidity. The drawers open using bronze drop handles, the lock entries are protected and decorated by pieces also in bronze. This metal is finely chiseled. The goldsmith was able to highlight his creativity, his artistic sensitivity, his meticulousness and his precision. The key is later than the piece of furniture. The lower crosspiece with inward and outward shapes called "to fret" is also decorated with a bronze piece. The corners of the chest of drawers are beveled. This piece of furniture is marquetry. The craftsman cut and assembled pieces of wood of different species: violet wood, rosewood in order to obtain refined, subtle decorations for the facades of the sides and drawers of the chest of drawers. He created a frieze with Greek corners to differentiate the perimeter of the bottom by staining it green for all the facades. The back of the chest of drawers has solid wood panels, therefore very resistant. This piece of furniture rests on four sheathed and curved legs called Louis XV feet and decorated with bronze sabots. The top of the chest of drawers is a luminous, refined and attractive white marble. It respects the shape of the piece of furniture. This chest of drawers is made from quality materials and built using ancient techniques: tenons and mortises weld the pieces of wood together and reinforce the solidity. The interior of the piece of furniture has been cleaned so that the objects are stored in a very healthy and odorless environment. This piece of furniture adapts easily to contemporary interiors. The chest of drawers will bring warmth, relaxation and well-being to your interior. Its creator invites us to understand, to establish an intimate and unique relationship. Its timeless aspect makes us want to.
