Roped stoneware soup tureen – les potiers de l'abbaye (salins-les-bains) rare handcrafted stoneware soup tureen, made by les potiers de l'abbaye, in salins-les-bains (franche-comté). This factory, founded in 1947 by jacques and jean-pierre cumin, is located in the former capuchin convent, a historic site renovated after the french revolution. Authentic piece combining tradition and know-how, with rope and wooden handles, typical of the chic utilitarian style of french ceramics from the 60s and 70s. Production is still active today, but the old pieces have become very popular with collectors.
