Large covered vase in Portuguese earthenware with hand-painted decoration.

Large covered vase in glazed ceramic, hand-decorated, made in Portugal in the second half of the 20th century. Elegant baluster silhouette topped with a high finial lid. The hand-painted decoration combines vegetal scrolls and stylised motifs in shades of raspberry pink, grey-green, and black on a slightly crackled ivory background. The glaze features a network of fine firing cracks, with a soft and luminous palette. Portuguese production marked "Portugal" under the base with a shape number. In beautiful vintage condition, with natural glaze cracks related to the manufacturing process (see photos). Total height with lid 38.5 cm, height without lid 23.5 cm, widest diameter 17 cm, opening diameter 9 cm. Its hand-painted graphics and sculptural volume make it a true decorative focal point.
