Service of 40 stemmed glasses (absinthe) with platinum thread decoration, late 19th, early 20th century.

Glass service, art deco style. The glass is blown very finely, with a few bubbles visible in the thick part of the base. Silver decoration with triple platinum threads (the latter shows some signs of wear). There are 9 small liqueur glasses, 9 cocktail glasses, 11 absinthe glasses and 11 champagne glasses, so a total of 40 glasses. I am adding to this lot 2 glasses which have small chips. They date from the end of the 19th century or the very beginning of the 20th century, because absinthe was banned for consumption in 1915...they therefore predate this date.
