A rare and immaculate set of six table spoons by Carl Sandbergs Efterträdare, Sweden, dating to the 1940s — never used, in original packaging, with the silver finish in perfect condition. Each spoon follows a classic Swedish silverware pattern: a generous oval bowl flowing into an elegantly proportioned handle, decorated at the shoulder with a delicate floral and scroll ornament in low relief — restrained, refined and entirely characteristic of the best Scandinavian silversmith tradition of the mid-20th century. The silver plating is flawless throughout, with the deep mirror polish of pieces that have never seen a table. Carl Sandbergs Efterträdare was a respected Swedish silverware manufacturer, and sets of this quality in genuinely unused condition are extraordinarily difficult to find. Most silver plate of this era has been used, polished and re-polished over decades. This set has not. It is as close to new old stock as Swedish silverware gets.
