Japanese chest of drawers (tansu) with two front drawers and two sliding doors that reveal several shelves and two other drawers. This kind of furniture, called "cha-dansu" (literally tea tansu), was intended for the tea ceremony. The facades are in paulownia (kiri) and the structure in hinoki (japanese cypress). Late 19th-early 20th.
