This stunning armchair is a product of the renowned furniture factory De Ster and is nicknamed 'knoop' (knot) due to its distinctive frame, which features a stylized knot-like connection on the side. Over the years, this model has become a true Dutch design classic, sought after worldwide by enthusiasts. The model is confirmed to be made by De Ster and is of exceptional world-class design. It is a so-called ladies' armchair, with a 'low' backrest. The sculptural frame, made of solid teak wood, has beautiful organic shapes and is open-worked on the sides, reminiscent of the designs and finishes seen on luxury ships. The upholstery and filling have been completely replaced by top craftsmen, using a beautiful green woolen upholstery fabric, extra soft and in an intense dark green color (Richwool color number 47, a sustainable fabric made from pure new wool and alpaca wool).
