Cut crystal bowl, silver-plated metal mount, Val Saint Lambert

A translucent crystal bowl of exceptional quality, crafted by the Belgian crystalworks Val Saint Lambert. The company was founded in 1826 and established in the former Cistercian abbey, converted into a crystal factory, in Val-Saint-Lambert, Belgium. It specializes in the production of high-end utilitarian and decorative objects for monarchs and leaders worldwide. The bowl offered for sale is a piece created in the 1970s by Val Saint Lambert's master glassblowers and cutters, who blow and cut unique pieces of pure crystal every day. The geometric patterns are engraved according to the highest standards of craftsmanship. A silver-plated metal mount allows for easy carrying thanks to its twisted handle. It complements a bar set for holding ice cubes. It can also be used for other purposes, such as holding olives, peanuts, candies, or sugar, or even repurposed to hold jewelry or cotton balls. Excellent condition, no cracks or chips (see photos). The Val St. Lambert crystalworks mark is engraved under the bowl, and there are silversmith's hallmarks on the side of the silver-plated rim.
