Maison Lecan presents this pair of barrel chairs from the 1950s, in the spirit of Pierre Guariche. The design features soft curves: a enveloping backrest, open at the base to lighten the silhouette, a generous seat, all resting on a fine black lacquered steel frame. Both chairs have been completely refurbished by an artisan upholsterer, using methods from the era: new horizontal springs, filling with animal and vegetable hair, and a finish with wadding for lasting comfort. They are covered in a very high-quality grey mottled fabric. The frame remains original. It bears some signs of use, which give it its patina. Around a dining table, in front of a desk, or as extra seating in a bedroom, they bring the softness of modernist interiors.
