Large blown glass jar/demijohn, 19th century (available for delivery)

Online listing for a demijohn available. Please read the entire listing. Impressive demijohn, also known as a Dame Jeanne, with a 60-liter capacity. It was found in a barn; there was badly damaged woven straw all around it. Since acquiring it, we've been using it as a decorative piece in the living room. We used to place the large feather dusters you see in the background inside, creating a striking decorative effect. The very thick glass shows no signs of impact or chips. The neck is also intact, which is quite rare. During its manufacture, numerous air bubbles were trapped in the glass (visible in the photos).
