Pair of earthenware plates Terre de Fer Choisy le Roi H Boulenger

Two charming iron earth dessert plates, beautifully patinated, sepia brown transfer décor and hand-painted polychrome additions. Unstamped, they probably come from the earthenware factory of Choisy-le-Roi, Hautin Boulenger period (last quarter of the nineteenth century). In perfect condition, neither crack nor shine. 19.5 cm in diameter. 2.5 cm high. Any significant imperfection is mentioned and highlighted by the photographs but the objects we offer have had several lives and may have irregularities, manufacturing defects or marks that reflect their sometimes century-old experience and their history.
