Fine porcelain sugar bowl from Rouen

Charming covered sugar bowl made of fine earthenware, in the pure Norman style of Rouen. The piece features two scroll handles and a knobbed lid, adorned with a hand-painted decoration: cobalt blue scrolls, iron red flowers, with yellow and green highlights, typical of the Rouen decorative repertoire. The base bears the handwritten mention "Rouen handmade" as well as a painted label indicating the origin "Maison Dumont – Rue Centrale, Aumale (Seine-Maritime)". Container diameter: 14 cm / lid diameter: 17 cm / total height: 12 cm.
