A vase from the 'Manto' series designed by Rodolfo Dordoni for Venini. Coral red, transparent, and black fused glass, with a surface featuring a polished matte finish. Venini, Murano 2001. The Venini label and engraved signature are present on the base. In 1921, Paolo Venini and Giacomo Cappellin founded a company that would become world-renowned. Under the artistic direction of Vittorio Zecchin, the company Vetri Soffiati Cappellin Venini & C. Established itself as the prodigy of the 1920s, the golden age of Murano glass. Over the decades, countless internationally renowned artists — such as Napoleone Martinuzzi, Carlo Scarpa, Tomaso Buzzi, Fulvio Bianconi, Tuni Zuccheri, Thomas Stearns, Toots Zynski, and Ettore Sottsass — have enthusiastically collaborated with Venini, each bringing techniques and creations of great uniqueness. Venini's works have been awarded numerous prizes. Even today, Venini remains one of the most prestigious artistic glass manufacturers in Murano.
