Peasant armchair in solid wood and straw, 19th century

Antique Auvergne armchair with a high back composed of three slightly curved rails. The uprights extend to the top of the backrest, while the armrests rest on the front legs. The woven straw seat adds a warm touch to this entirely solid wood construction. The armchair retains a beautiful antique patina, marked by time, with some signs of repairs that testify to its history. Its slender lines and lack of ornamentation give it a simple presence, making it easy to integrate into a contemporary interior. Dimensions: H 106 × Seat height 43 × W 50 × D 44 cm.
