Elegant footed bowl in porcelain BAREUTHER BAVARIA, made in Germany in the 1970s. The piece combines a deep cobalt glaze with a particularly fine gold floral decoration: a generous bouquet of roses occupies the centre of the bowl, while isolated roses adorn the various faces of its hexagonal rim. A gold line also highlights the upper edge and the foot. The shape is particularly successful: a wide hexagonal bowl with slightly raised corners rests on a flared central foot, creating a silhouette that is both graphic and classic. The contrast between the very deep cobalt blue, almost black depending on the light, and the gold decoration gives the whole a very decorative presence. The BAREUTHER factory, established in Waldsassen, Bavaria, was notably known for its table and decorative porcelain. The piece bears the original gold stamp "BAREUTHER BAVARIA GERMANY" under the base, as well as the mention "ECHT COBALT", confirming the use of a decoration with real cobalt.
