Tambe - Large patinated copper temple jar

This impressive copper jar comes from India and was most likely used in a ritual context or in a temple, given its imposing size and weight. Entirely handcrafted from solid copper, it features a rounded body, a narrow neck, and a flared rim—a traditional shape used to store holy water (jal), ghee, or offerings, or even to cook meals for worshippers.
