Spectacular vintage freestanding bookshelf, made in Italy, attributed to Alain Delon and probably dating from the early 1980s. The bookshelf stands out for its geometric architecture composed of four large rectangular frames in polished gold metal. It rests on an imposing rectangular base lacquered in cream, highlighted by a fine golden metal band. It features eleven smoked glass shelves arranged in three sections, with a wide central section and two side columns. This asymmetrical and highly graphic composition gives it a particularly elegant presence. This model is listed on several specialised platforms as a creation of Alain Delon. Its proportions, lacquered base, small cylindrical brass feet, and the arrangement of its shelves correspond to documented examples. The labels on the piece indicate Italian manufacture. A rare and spectacular piece, ideal as a bookshelf, display unit, or divider in a large living room, boutique, gallery, or showroom. Overall vintage condition is good. The structure shows some signs of use, small marks, variations, and superficial oxidations consistent with its age. The lacquered base also has some marks.
