Antique small Louis-Philippe mercury mirror, vintage barber's mirror.

Superbly vintage and decorative, with its original patina that only time can create, a wall centerpiece from yesteryear or placed on a piece of furniture in your interior: here is a: - antique, heavy, small and authentic louis-philippe style mercury mirror - wooden frame and painted plaster - original patina - on the back: original stapled cardboard (new staples) - point with original hanging string (strong) - 1850s - 1920s. This antique mirror has the typical stains of a mercury mirror. These are mirrors whose manufacture with mercury has been banned since 1835 and therefore difficult to find nowadays. Total dimensions: 36 X 30 cm - mirror only 25.8 X 19.5 cm - weight: 1.660 kg. Good vintage condition considering its age but note: - traces of time on the wood and stucco - (cracks on the stucco, some missing pieces (chips)) (look carefully at the photos). Dusted by me and cleaned, I put back the original cardboard pointed with many staples because the mercury mirror alone is heavy and is about 0.5 cm thick. I applied a colorless satin protective varnish on the stucco to guarantee the solidity of everything.
