Deep plates Royal Sphinx Maastricht P. Regout "Cambridge Old England" blue & white

Set of 6 deep plates in fine faience by Petrus Regout Royal Sphinx Maastricht, decorated in "Cambridge Old England" style. The decoration features blue on white in the spirit of English "transferware": finely detailed pastoral scenes and romantic landscapes, framed by floral and architectural motifs. Dutch manufacture ("made in Holland"). In very good condition. Visible traces of kiln marks on the reverse (normal). Rare and very light usage scratches, (slightly) visible in backlight. A few slight chips on the reverse under the rim or on the foot. See detail photos. Beautiful colour, glaze is very shiny. Diameter 24 cm, height 4 cm.
