Maison Lecan presents this trio of alpine chairs made of solid pine, France, 1950s. This type of handcrafted furniture, produced outside of edition and series, in mountain workshops, is one of the most direct expressions of the relationship with material in 20th-century French furniture. The three seats are round or oval, carved from solid wood, thick, with a pronounced grain and visible knots. The backs are set into the seat without transition. The raw pine legs, in a tripod design, are angled under the saddle: irregular section, hand-finished surface. The dark and uniform patina, finished with a matte varnish, enhances the visual density of the whole. Stable and sturdy, they are more suited for alternative uses: bedside table, small stool, decorative object placed in a space rather than for everyday seating. Sold as a set. Reference LDP: 20260323-002. Dimensions: H81 cm — seat height 43 cm — diameters 37 / 29 / oval 38 cm.
