This expressionist painting refers to claude monet's painting "the woman in the umbrella or on the cliff" painted in 1873. The touch is spontaneous, removed and sculpted in flats of material, the details non-existent, the palette contrasted; the result is an impression of speed, of movement, a testimony to the wind blowing on the stage.
