3493 – cut crystal jug – saint louis cerdagne service stamped “cristal saint louis france”, still with its royal crown label, this blown and cut crystal water jug from the oldest french crystal factory of excellence in good condition. No cracks or chips, not scaled. Listed in the 1974 saint louis catalogue cerdagne service created in 1955. Deeply bevelled and flat-ribbed parison with a hot-glued swan-neck handle. Height 230 mm X 191 mm with handle. Weight 1680 g. Careful and tracked shipping. For information, founded in 1586 in the münzthal valley in moselle, by letters patent of 1767 from king louis XV known as the beloved (1710-1774), it took the name of “verrerie royale de saint louis” and quickly became a flagship of the french economy.
