Pierrefonds Heraldic Faiencerie Vase

A magnificent vase from the heraldic earthenware factory of Pierrefonds (ceramic factory created in 1903): a stoneware vase from Pierrefonds with blue-grey glaze drips with incredible crystallization effects. Art Nouveau style, early 20th century. This one is also decorated with a hand-painted representation of a bird in pink tones with magnificent and luxuriant plumage. This vase could date from the 1920s when the earthenware factory welcomed three ceramic painters (to be confirmed). Features the famous helmet signature: a medieval helmet surrounded by the initials fh for heraldic earthenware above the word Pierrefonds. Very good condition, no wear and tear. Height 20 cms, neck diameter: 8.5 cms. Base diameter: 10 cms.
