Alsatian polychrome furniture cradle from Brumath 19th century 1837

Cradle, folk art, 19th-century Alsatian polychrome wood furniture. Cradle made for a child named Fritz, born in 1837, in Brumath, a village north of Strasbourg. This piece of furniture was purchased in 1997 in Strasbourg from a renowned antique dealer: Bernard Demay, Strasbourg antique dealer, "La Cour Renaissance" on Rue de l'Ail, author of the book "Alsatian Polychrome Furniture: Bernard Demay, Christine Demay, Bastberg." This polychrome furniture was generally made of tightly grained pine. A unique piece of furniture, typical of Alsatian stub decoration. This piece of furniture is in very good condition considering its age. Signs of use, of course. Dimensions: H81 x W106 x D76 cm. Sale due to moving. We are open to considering any price proposals.
