Kang coffee table from the qing dynasty period - xixth - china very elegant and sophisticated, this table is a perfect example of ancient chinese craftsmanship. It is the direct descendant of the traditional kang coffee tables developed during the ming dynasty. With its rectangular top, pierced apron, it reflects the artistic traditions of chinese carpentry. It integrates with all styles of decoration. It is a fascinating testimony to chinese history. This charming chinese coffee table dating from the 19th century, is impressive by its dimensions, a width of more than 1.80 meters, which allows it to be used also as a console. Its sober design allows it to easily integrate into a modern and design interior. In winter, in china's coldest provinces, life revolved around the kang, a heated brick platform on which family members sat or bowed. Placed on the kang, the coffee tables offered a convenient surface for eating, drinking tea or playing.
