Magnificent set of three Bubble wall sconces by Helena Tynell for Glashutte Limburg. Germany, 1970s. White lacquered metal wall structure. It features a beautiful blown glass diffuser from Limburg. Transparent, smoky amber. Diameter 22 cm. Depth 12 cm. Exceptional condition. Fast and very careful shipping. Helena Tynell (1918-2016): H. Tynell is a Finnish glass artist. She studied at the Central School of Industrial Design, which is now part of the Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture, where she graduated in 1943. Tynell primarily uses glass casting and blowing. Some of her works are part of the permanent collections of the Design Museum in Helsinki, the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm, and the Corning Museum of Glass in Corning, USA. Glashütte Limburg, a German manufacturer specialising in glass interior lighting that preserves traditional craftsmanship. These light fixtures are made with mouth-blown glass, in a glassworks located in the city of Limburg.
