Beautiful pair of large Art Deco vases made of uranium opaline glass, manufactured in France, dating from the 1920s-1930s. Of a lovely size, they feature an elegant architectured silhouette on a square base. Their rich relief moulded decoration combines tiered geometric compositions and stylised plant motifs, characteristic of the Art Deco aesthetic. The glass, in a luminous pale green opalescent hue, contains uranium and exhibits the characteristic fluorescence of this type of glassware under ultraviolet light. The preservation of the two vases forming the pair, their significant dimensions, and their particularly graphic decoration make for a very fine decorative ensemble from the interwar period. Period: circa 1920-1930 Origin: France Material: uranium opaline glass Style: Art Deco Dimensions of each vase: H. Approximately 28.5 cm L. Approximately 12.3 cm D. Approximately 15 cm Very good overall condition. It should be noted that one of the vases has a fine manufacturing line visible in the glass at the shoulder, which does not affect its solidity or presentation. It is not a crack. Some old irregularities related to the moulded glass manufacturing process are visible in the material. The two vases are sold together.
