Antique Mahogany Cabinet Tallboy Chest on Chest George III 19th Century

Antique english cupboard, tallboy, also known as chest on chest because it is made of 2 parts stacked on top of each other, made of solid oak and mahogany veneer, george III chest of drawers from the early 19th century, united kingdom. This impressive and very large cupboard has a cornice at the top with shaped edge, a selection of 8 drawers, 2 narrow and 6 long drawers varying in size, all with oak interior and partly original copper gooseneck handles, the sides are also finished with mahogany veneer, the whole stands on the typical bracket legs. This cupboard is in good unrestored antique condition, with traces commensurate with its age, more than 200 years old! Not all handles are still original, a smaller handle has been placed at the bottom left, some chips and cracks in the veneer along the edges, a piece of decorative molding is missing on the left side, some superficial scratches and dents, but the case still looks fantastic and is packed with character. This tallboy has been polished, waxed and shined, some decorative frames around the drawers have been replaced at some point, check the photos for more details! Dimensions: 126x55x184cm.
