Robert nyel " rue à grasse » oil on canvas with frame

Born on april 18, 1930 in grasse (alpes-maritimes) and died on november 26, 2016 in the same city, robert niel, known as robert nyel, was a singer-songwriter. Recognized lyricist, associated with the composer gaby verlor, he wrote for artists such as edith piaf, luis mariano, les frères jacques, and signed some successes for bourvil or juliette gréco in particular. In parallel with the song, robert nyel, a student of the académie de la grande chaumière, devoted himself to satirical drawing for presse magazine and le hérisson, as well as to a painting, described as "nourished and expressive", in grasse.
