Traditional and ancient romanian rug with bohemian floral motifs 155x215cm

Here is a rug from the folk art of romania. It probably dates from the mid-20th century and is adorned with multicolored flowers embroidered in wool on a black background. It is composed of two textile strips woven on loom, each 77 cm wide and being assembled together on the central part of the carpet (it is indeed 155 cm wide, thus the combination of these two strips). It is ancient and has been used in its country of origin and therefore has some traces of wear (small holes that have been patched, giving it the charm of the old and the authentic). It is ideal for giving a bohemian touch to an interior decoration with its xxl flowers whose colors stand out particularly well on its black background. Dimensions: 2.15 m length and width of 1.55 m / weight of about 1.6 kg.
