 Signed and dated lower left abadie-landel 68. Pierre abadie-landel is concidéré as a member of the seiz breur ("the seven brothers" in breton, named after a tale collected and illustrated by jeanne malivel), an artistic movement created by a group of breton artists between the two world wars. This movement, precursor of modern celtic-breton art, exerted an influence that is still felt today in breton creation and culture.
