Bouquet of flowers circa 1930 by the artist Madeleine Lespagnol. (listed artist). 19th/20th century. Dimensions without frame 40cm length X 34cm width. Madeleine Lespagnol is a French artist active in the 20th century, mainly recognized for her paintings. Biographical information about her is limited, but some of her works have been sold at auction, including: • “Viviane”: a signed pastel, measuring 63 X 43 cm, sold in November 2007 at Galerie Fischer Auktionen AG in Lucerne. • “Stilleben mit Kirschen”: a still life with cherries, also sold at auction. One of her works, titled “Viviane,” was created in 1905, which suggests that she was active in the early 20th century. Regarding her technique, Madeleine Lespagnol worked in pastel, as evidenced by her work “Viviane.” She also used oil paint, notably for floral still lifes, such as the painting “flowers bouquet roses carnations mimosa”.
