Round coffee table with 3 pivoting trays Maria Pergay for Mercier

By the house Mercier Brothers, occasional coffee table, round with 3 swivel trays. Design by Maria Pergay, Circa 1968. Three 180 degree swivel trays. The structure is in chromed steel and the three trays are in melamine wood lacquered chocolate brown. Particularity of this table, it is mounted on wheels. Very practical side table. Dimensions: diameter 60 cm / height 35 cm. Usages of use (see photos). For Maria Pergay, who collaborated with Dali or Pierre Cardin, steel is "as precious as the most precious wood". She made it her favorite material in the 60s and 70s. However, she ended up preferring stainless steel, which allows her to soften the forms of her creations to offer them more round and poetic curves like those of this table.
