Superb handcrafted tea set from the 1960s-70s, made of hand-painted glazed earthenware. The set includes a teapot and five matching cups with saucers. Each piece, hand-thrown, features an incised and then glazed decoration of stylized fan motifs in vibrant colors: turquoise, pink, saffron yellow, and black on a light beige background. The contrast between the incised lines and the glazed areas creates a richly textured graphic relief. The fine crackles in the glaze add a touch of authenticity and charm to this characterful set. Probable origin: Moroccan craftsmanship (Safi or Marrakech region). Typical craftsmanship from the 1960s-1970s. Dimensions: Teapot: Height 17 cm, Length 20 cm (including spout), Diameter 11 cm. – Cups: 6 cm diameter, 5 cm height. – Saucers: 11 cm diameter. Beautiful vintage condition, minimal signs of wear, glaze beautifully crackled with age. Perfect for a warm and colorful table setting, for a sunny and eclectic bohemian atmosphere.
