19th century wooden chest

Scrolls, figures, and plants intersect and intertwine in the engraved decoration of this beautiful chest. Made of oak in the 19th century, it incorporates all the codes of the neo-gothic style. At a time when the middle ages appeared as an idealized period (chivalrous loves, jousts, majestic castles), we drew inspiration from it, as here, by bringing dark wood furniture and naive engravings up to date.
