This dining set was designed by Hans Olsen for the Danish furniture manufacturer Frem Røjle during the 1960s. The set consists of an extending dining table and four chairs and is a distinctive example of Danish Mid-Century Modern design, combining functionality with an elegant, minimalist form. The most recognisable feature of the design is the way the four chairs can be completely tucked beneath the round tabletop. Their curved wooden backrests fit neatly against the edge of the table, creating a compact, harmonious form. This space-saving solution maintains the full functionality of the dining set. The table is crafted from teak wood, whose warm tones and natural grain highlight the character of Danish furniture design. The round tabletop, sculpted apron and slender legs give the table an elegant silhouette. Thanks to its extending construction, the tabletop can be enlarged to provide additional dining space. The four chairs feature distinctive curved wooden backrests and comfortable upholstered seats covered in black genuine leather. Their proportions have been carefully designed to complement the table, creating a cohesive and harmonious set. The set has undergone professional woodwork and upholstery restoration. The wooden elements were stripped of the old coating and subsequently finished with oil, enhancing the natural grain and warm colour of the teak wood. As part of the upholstery restoration, the upholstery interiors have been replaced, and the chairs have been reupholstered in new black genuine leather. The set is well suited to both a compact dining room and a spacious living area. Its carefully considered construction, high-quality craftsmanship and timeless form make it a distinctive example of 1960s Danish design. The table features a practical extension mechanism, allowing it to be extended to a length of 171 cm.
